If you’re like me, from book 1 you have been waiting for Breezy’s story, then never fear as it’s now here!
Breezy- aka Chris Calabrese- first appeared as a side character in Two for Holding and there was something about him that made me (and no doubt others!), think “Hmm, he seems delightful” and was praying for his story.
Now that the behind the scenes drama has been (mostly) sorted at the Sea Lions, we get to see how much of a golden retriever Chris is- so much so that the teams new D-Man Luca Mazetti harbours an enormous and almost from first meeting crush is.
Over the first two books in the series we get glimpses of what type of person Chris is- as I said earlier a golden retriever- but in this book it’s his time to shine.
After repeatedly getting dumped by girlfriends, Breezy asks Luca to coach him in sex and Luca resolves to do so, while also trying to resolve not to catch those damn feelings.
Emphasis on trying!
The great thing is that this book develops and explores ideas as self identity, we all suffer imposter syndrome at some point, not to mention we can often think “am I too (whatever? am I not (whatever)?”
This novel explores it in a tender matter and frankly it’s worth a buy- it’s a giant hug.
