This was my first read by the author but I loved it so much I’m going to go back and read the first in the series!
Ostentatiously this book is about a group of friends at a gym who morph into a found family, but that is only the tip of the iceberg in how amazing this book is.
For the last twenty years, Garrett has been mourning the loss of his friend Rafe- his best friend who was lost in an explosion while on a navy seal mission. But over these twenty years, there’s been there’s odd things left around Garrett which makes Garrett think- do I have a stalker or is it a ghost?
It’s not a spoiler to say that the most obvious answer is the correct, with Rafe not being dead and scaring the living daylights (pun intended) one day out of Garrett.
Shortly, the true reasons reveal while Rafe is back, with Garrett having to adapt to his evolving feelings sooner rather then later.
The author writes very well and the growth of the characters are amazing- there’s some real “I didn’t see that coming” moments in it which is what you want as a reader.
I ended up loving all the characters and I’ve brought the first two books in the series to devour!
Worth a read and spend of your dollars!
