Tuesday's Thoughts

So it’s Tuesday afternoon so it’s time to put thoughts to paper- or screen- again.

What is annoying me- well frustrating me would be more accurate- is that it’s come out that recently the daily Covid case figures in Melbourne are out of synch due to some sort of technical error.

I mean what the actual eff?

To be fair, admittedly no system is perfect and you’re always going to get some degree of mistakes; hell even in political science there’s this well known phenomenon as being within the margin of error- i.e that within a certain percentage there’s going to be some mistakes. But even allowing for that how can 150 (roughly) case numbers simply go “missing”?

In the world we are in, the accuracy of the figures is paramount to public health and ensuring that people are aware of the situation in a calm, accurate and timely manner. With the amount of protests going on all this will achieve is even more doubt in the information by the covidiots that’s out there and increase the chances of more protests by the selfish people who think it’s their right to sprout the hackney “my body, my choice” slogans. Now I’m not saying that argument isn’t valid, but considering how bad males try to control female and their autonomy over their own bodies, any males saying that argument in the anti-vaccine situation really needs to take a sit down, thank you very much.

Things could be much worse I guess. People still need to go about their “essential” jobs on a daily basis and they still need to encounter possible trauma- these people my heart go out towards.
