I love me some sci fi and this book is classic sci fi- for we have Blake Lewis and his paramedic partner Tommy get caught quite literally in an alien invasion of Washington D.C
After battling to survive, Blake and Tommy soon come across Gabriel Lennox and his band of private military team- they’ve been parachuted in to try to find out what actually happened, search for survivors and establish communications with the outside world; for when the aliens invade all communications were lost.
This is classic sci fi- alien versus humans which then shortly becomes (spoiler redacted), followed with the meeting of the eyes of Blake and Tommy.
There’s nothing revolutionary with this story, it is mostly enjoyable after all, with the only “down” side being a cliff hanger for the next book- which hopefully I’ll read when it comes out sooner rather then later (fingers crossed)
